I am a 25-year Sparks resident and community organizer. I have been deeply involved

in local politics including civic engagement and in public testimony across Sparks and

Washoe County. I grew up in Columbus, Ohio, went to public schools and earned a

B.S, in Education from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. I served on the Alumni Board

of Directors for four years. I also have an M,A, in Personnel Administration from Central

Michigan University. I am now retired, but my 40-year career in Human Resources

Management includes working for an electric power company, a big four accounting

firm, a telecommunications company and several start-ups. I did a five-year stint with

the US Census Bureau, gathering information from Washoe County residents for the

monthly Jobs Report.

My family includes two children, five grandchildren, my domestic partner, John Corbin

and two cats, Sparky and Puff.

If elected I will have an open ear, open mind and open door.
